Enhancements
Dispense
The latest Minfos update significantly improves access to Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) and drug information, making it easier to quickly view, print or email CMIs during and after dispensing. Now, CMI and drug information is now sourced from both Guildlink Distribution Services and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), ensuring improved and comprehensive coverage.
Additional options have been added to the Drug Information Database window, including:
- Email CMI
- View TGA Website
- View TGA CMI
- Print TGA CMI
- Email TGA CMI
- View TGA Summary
- View TGA PI
- Copy Link (copies weblink to the selected information)
- Use large fonts
Navigation has been refined with double-click functionality for executing selected options.
CMI access from the Script Options menu has also been improved, allowing the dispenser to quickly view, print or email the CMI as required.
When accessing the CMI from the Script Options menu, Minfos will first attempt to display/email/print the CMI available from Guildlink. If unavailable, Minfos will automatically display/email/print the TGA CMI.
Refer to Access CMIs in Minfos for further information.
We are excited to introduce the ability to schedule the Dispense Trading Totals Report to run automatically after the End of Day (EOD). Simply select your desired report criteria and choose from a variety of scheduling options, including Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly. The scheduled report will be emailed directly to your specified addresses, ensuring you have timely access to critical data whenever and wherever you need it. This enhancement streamlines your operations, ensuring you always have the information you need at your fingertips.
Refer to Schedule a report.
In addition, the Trading Totals Report now offers extended time periods to report on. The Report Period options have been expanded to include the current day, week, and month, as well as previous day, week, month, quarter, calendar year, financial year, and a custom date range.
Refer to Dispense Trading Totals reports for further information.
This release introduces a validation step to the eScript owing mark off process to ensure that both the patient and drug on the owing script match with the downloaded script.
When receiving an owing eScript, the Owing Script Details window is displayed, highlighting any differences between the downloaded script and the recorded owing. Radio buttons are available for fields where the information does not match, making it quick and easy for dispensers to select the correct script details and preview the updated information in the Marked off script column.
If the drug details match, the Confirm Matching Scripts checkbox is automatically ticked, and the dispenser can click OK to proceed with receiving the owing.
If the drug details do not match the Confirm Matching Scripts checkbox is unticked. The dispenser must review and confirm the correct information before continuing with the reconciliation.
By enforcing strict drug-matching criteria, this change reduces the risk of dispensing errors, supports regulatory compliance, and improves transparency when reconciling owing scripts.
Refer to Receive an Owing Script for further information.
eScript tokens (including eNRMC Item tokens) can now be added to the Quick Dispense Queue by your packing software. When selected for dispensing, the eScript will download from eRx and populate the Dispense Form. The eScript can then be dispensed following the usual dispensing process.
The Quick Dispense Queue window now displays additional information to support this change:
- Display eScripts checkbox: This checkbox is ticked by default. To view only non-electronic scripts, simply untick Display eScripts
- eScript indicator: A red "E" icon is displayed beside all eScripts for easy identification
- View eScript button: Click View eScript to review the details of the selected eScript
- Legend Window: Displays explanation of the icons/fonts in Quick Dispense Queue window. Right-click anywhere in the list of queued scripts to display the Legend window
Refer to Quick Dispense Queue Overview for further information.
From 12 June 2025, all S4 prescriptions dispensed in Western Australia (WA) must include the patient's date of birth (DOB).
Similarly, in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), effective from 13 June 2025, the patient's DOB will be required on all S2, S3, S4, and S8 prescriptions.
To prepare for these regulatory changes, after updating to version 8.5.1, Minfos will prompt you to enter the patient's DOB when dispensing an applicable prescription if the DOB is not already recorded.
The Date of Birth must be entered to complete the prescription.
Once entered, the DOB will be saved in the customer’s profile.
Note
- S3 Recordable and Doctor’s Bag scripts are exempt from this requirement
- These changes only apply to ACT & WA pharmacies. There is no change to Date of Birth recording requirements for other states and territories
Enhancements have been made to how Minfos Dispense handles PBS Safety Net thresholds when a patient exceeds or reaches the exact threshold. These changes improve compliance with PBS rules and ensure accurate patient pricing and Prescription Record Form (PRF) values.
Improvements include:
- When a patient becomes eligible (whether exceeding or exactly meeting the threshold), Minfos will automatically prompt the dispenser to issue a Concession or Safety Net card
- The PRF will now display the correct co-payment amount, such as $7.70 or $0.00, instead of only showing the total patient contribution
- Reg24 scripts display accurate Safety Net totals on the PRF
Stock Manager
Minfos 8.5.1 introduces a Custom Frequency option for Order Templates, allowing you to schedule orders by selecting a specific week and day of a specified month or every month. For example, the last Monday of every month or the second Wednesday of December.
Orders will generate once per selected month, on the specified week and day set in the Order Template. Orders generated from templates where Auto-Send is enabled will automatically be transmitted after they are generated.
The new Custom Frequency option provides further flexibility for managing recurring orders.Refer to Add an Order Template for further information.
A new Reason for change column has been added to the Stock Variance Report providing greater transparency for manual stock adjustments. This update enables you to easily view why stock on hand has changed, thereby improving audit accuracy and stock management efficiency.
The Stock Variance Report displays the most recent stock movement and reason during the specified period. If a product has changed SOH multiple times during the specified period, only the most recent change and Reason are displayed. Where a product has changed SOH due to a sale or Till transaction, the Reason column is blank.
Refer to Stock Variance report for further information.

We are excited to introduce the ability to schedule Customer Debtors and Ageing Reports to run automatically after the End of Day (EOD). Simply select your desired report criteria and choose from a variety of scheduling options, including Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly.
The scheduled reports will be emailed directly to the specified addresses, ensuring you have timely access to critical data whenever and wherever you need it.
Additionally, a new Report on the Entire Range option has been added to the Customer Debtors and Ageing Reports window. This feature enables dynamic customer range selection, automatically including any newly created customers within the specified range.
These enhancement streamlines your operations, ensuring you always have the information you need at your fingertips.
