Software

Security enhancements to Minfos Updates

The security of software update downloads has been enhanced through the decommissioning of FTP.

All update files will now be delivered via HTTPS. This includes Minfos software updates, dispense updates and product updates.

During the transition period, FTP will remain available as a backup to ensure uninterrupted access to updates.

This change should have no impact on pharmacies.

Dispense

Improved HICAPS claim management experience

Minfos 8.7.2 introduces a redesigned HICAPS Claim Management window, delivering greater control and efficiency for pharmacies managing HICAPS claims.

Key improvements include:

  • Greatly improved response speed for both quotes and claims
  • Ability to adjust claim quantity and price before claiming
  • Claim Total amount is instantly updated when price/quantity is changed
  • Quantity field now supports decimal amounts for partial pack dispensing
  • New Submit Quote button for optional estimate before submitting a claim
  • Submit claims directly without a quote or predetermination
  • Improved warnings to help prevent over-claiming
  • Enhanced usability across both the Tranquil theme and Large Dispense modes

These updates help reduce errors, save time, and give pharmacies more confidence when processing HICAPS claims.

Refer to Claiming with HICAPS.

Improved High Cost Drug filtering for Dispense Trading Report

The High Cost Drugs filter in the Dispense Trading Report has been updated to include only drug items, excluding non-drug products that have been dispensed. Previously, dispensed non-drug items were included in the report.

This change resolves inconsistencies with the other reports and ensures more accurate, reliable reporting. Refer to Dispense Trading Report and Configure High Cost Drug Threshold for further information.

Till

Improved validation when voiding Scrypt Pay transactions

We’ve enhanced the voiding process for Scrypt Pay transactions at the Till to ensure greater accuracy and prevent accidental errors. When a Scrypt Pay transaction is selected to be voided Minfos now performs increased validation to ensure the correct transaction has been selected.

If an invalid or incorrect Scrypt Pay Invoice Number is entered, a clear error message is displayed.
