This configuration setting provides the ability to filter out or isolate high cost drugs in key reports. Any products that are flagged as a drug with a cost equal to or greater than the set High Cost Drug Threshold will be considered as a High Cost Drug for reporting purposes.
The threshold can be set in Dispense Configuration.
Note The default threshold value is $1000.
High Cost Drug filtering functionality has been added to the following reports:
- Sales By Range report includes a new filter to -
- Report only on high cost drugs
- Exclude high cost drugs
- Include high cost drugs
- Dispense Trading report includes a new checkbox to -

Minfos now supports displaying multiple safety warnings and alerts simultaneously on the Pharmacist Check Screen, significantly improving visibility of clinical risks and enabling pharmacists to make safer, more informed decisions.
Key improvements include:
- Comprehensive view: All relevant alerts - such as drug interactions, generic substitutions, strength changes, allergy alerts, and new prescriptions - are now visible at once
- Enhanced allergy alerts: Allergy warnings are now clearly displayed and colour-coded for urgency, ensuring critical information is never missed
- Improved clinical confidence: MIMS-aligned interaction checks and clearer visual signals help pharmacists act with greater certainty
- Clear display: When no alerts apply, a No comments message is now displayed to ensure transparency
Please refer to the table below for examples of the colour coded messages that may be displayed.
Warning level | Example warning reason | Visual display |
Severe | Generic equivalent or different strength recently dispensed | Flashing red |
Medium | Allergy alert, Drug to drug interaction | Static red |
Mild | Mild drug interactions | Static yellow |
New drug | New item for the patient | Static blue |
No warning | No warning | Static white |
Note Where multiple messages/alerts displayed the panel will be colour-coded according to the most severe alert.
For further information about the Pharmacist Check Screen please refer to Pharmacist Check Screen overview and Perform a scan check in Minfos.
You can now print a QR code label containing essential customer details directly from the Script Options window to your dispense label printer.
This streamlines the process of sharing customer information with supported third-party systems, such as Med-ID Pharmaself24 vending machines, by embedding key data into a scannable QR code.
The customer’s first name, surname and mobile phone number are also printed on the label to allow for cross-checking.
Customer QR code labels can be printed immediately after updating to Minfos 8.6.1 – there is no need to configure or edit the label template.
Refer to Print a Customer QR code label for further information.
Minfos now supports dispensing of eligible eNRMC chart item tokens via One Click Dispense, streamlining the Quick Dispense process.
During the One Click Dispense process Minfos performs comprehensive safety and eligibility checks, identifying any ineligible items which are skipped and returned to the Quick Dispense Queue with an error message.
One Click Dispense benefits include:
- Improved dispensing efficiency for approved items
- Smart checks identify and skip ineligible items (e.g. monitored drugs, expired scripts)
- Clear error feedback is provided for easy review and manual dispensing of skipped items
- Required Pharmacist authentication restricts One Click Dispense to authorised personnel
Refer to One Click Dispense NRMC Supplies and One Click Dispense Errors for further information.
To ensure only authorised personnel can initiate One Click Dispense, pharmacists must now enter a valid password before the One Click Dispense process will begin.
The selected pharmacist is recorded against all One Click Dispense scripts for full traceability.
Refer to One Click Dispense NRMC Supplies for further information.
Customers
You can now configure how long customer PDF attachments - such as discharge summaries and medication reviews - are retained in Minfos. This change provides the flexibility to define your own document retention period without requiring assistance from the Minfos Support Team.
Note The default retention period is 36 months.
You can view or change the customer attachment retention period in Shop Configuration under the Customers tab.
The configured Retention Period is also displayed in the Attachments tab within the Customer Editing window.
For further information refer to Configure Customer Attachments Retention Period and Add Attachments to a Customers Profile.
Stock Manager
This release enhances the Price Manager pricing file import process by introducing barcode-based product matching, offering greater flexibility, and reducing dependence on MNPNs.
Minfos will now attempt to match products in the pricing file using the following order:
- MNPN - If present and matched
- Barcode - If MNPN is not present or unmatched, Minfos will attempt to match using primary or alternate barcodes
Products that cannot be matched by either MNPN or barcode will be excluded from the import.
Pricing file export functionality has also been upgraded to include primary barcodes, along with the ability to include non-MNPN products in the export file.
These improvements streamline bulk pricing updates for non-MNPN products or where the MNPN is unknown.
Refer to Import a Retail Pricing file for further details.
Minfos now automatically applies Scan rebates to eligible dispensed items sold at the Till. This ensures Scan rebates are consistently captured, providing you with improved visibility and more accurate Scan rebate reporting in the Sales By Range report.
The dispense workflow remains unchanged, with smarter rebate handling occurring seamlessly at the Till.
Refer to Scan Rebates for further information.
Resolved Issues
- Safety Net Consequences will now be flagged correctly when manually dispensing scripts as outside repeats.
- A Major Balance Error will no longer be reported when you do not issue a Safety Net card when prompted to a CTG patient.
- Editing a script that was previously deferred will no longer trigger the Safety Net Consequences/Reg 25 prompt.
- Scripts will now be marked with a green 'c' in Script Enquiry when the scripts are sold after the claim has been closed.
Note: This only applies to stores where Re-serialise Script at Till on Close Claim is unchecked in Dispense Configuration.
