B2B Devices registered with PRODA typically expire after 6 months. 

If the B2B Device has not yet expired, the expiry date of the device can be extended via the PRODA website.

If the expiry date of the B2B Device has passed, it will need to be renewed and a new Device Activation Code must be entered into Minfos.

When you open the Minfos Dispense Form, Minfos will check the expiry date of the B2B Device. 

  • If the expiry date is within 30 days of the current date, the PRODA Expiry Warning prompt is displayed

  • If the expiry date has passed, the Your B2B Device has expired. Please renew your B2B Device via the PRODA website and update the Device Activation Code in Minfos prompt is displayed

This warning will continue to be shown each day until the device has been reactivated within PRODA.

Extending a B2B Device:

The B2B Device can be extended at any time before the expiry date. You do not have to wait until the day of expiry to extend the B2B Device.

1. Log in to the PRODA website.

2. Select Organisations at top right.

3. Select the name of the organisation.

4. Select the name of the subsidiary organisation (if applicable).

5. Select B2B Devices.

6. Select the device name.

7. Select Extend expiry date.

8. Select Yes.

9. Log out of PRODA.

Minfos will automatically recognise the new B2B Device expiry date and continue PBS Online claiming.

Note:
When extending the expiry of an active B2B Device a new Device Activation Code is not required and will not be displayed.

If B2B Device has expired or B2B Device is Locked:

Note: Following a server change the status of your B2B Device will appear as 'Locked' in PRODA. You will need to generate a new B2B Device activation code.

You must reactivate it by generating a new Device Activation Code in PRODA. You will not be able to claim via PBS Online until the B2B Device is reactivated.

1. Log into the PRODA website.

2. Select Organisations at top right.

3. Select the name of the Organisation.

4. Select the name of the subsidiary organisation (if applicable).

5. Select B2B Devices.

6. Select the device name.

7. Select Generate New Code. Note: record this code as it's not stored.

8. Log out of PRODA.

The new unique Device Activation Code valid for 7 days.

Update the Device Activation Code in Minfos

From the Minfos Launch Pad:

1. Click the Special menu and select Utilities.

The Utilities module is displayed.

2. Click the Config menu and select 1. Shop Configuration.

The Shop Configuration window is displayed.

3. Select the General tab. In the Provider Digital Access (PRODA) section, enter the Device Activation Code details you copied from the PRODA website.

4. Click OK to save. 

When setting or changing the Device Activation Code, the B2B Device Activation confirmation prompt is displayed.5. Click Yes to save your changes.

Once the details have been set, Minfos will attempt to activate the device within PRODA. 

One of the below results will be displayed:

  • B2B Device Activation was successful. The device will show as Active on the PRODA website within approximately 5 minutes.
  • B2B Device Activation was unsuccessful, response was: [PRODA error message]. There was an issue and the activation was unsuccessful. Verify the details you have entered (in Step 3) and try again.

  • B2B Device Activation failed due to a technical error, please retry. If the problem continues please contact Minfos Support for assistance.

After receiving the B2B Device Activation was successful message, the status of the device on the PRODA website will display Active and the Expiry Date will be updated.
