When a Major Balance Error is reported on the Till Summary or Previous Takings report, the Balance Error Enquiry window will assist you to quickly identify the transaction number that is generating the error. This will allow you to then investigate why the Major Balance Error is occurring.

From the Till Module:

1. Click Enquiry.

2. Select 7. Balance Errors.

The Balance Errors Enquiry window is displayed.

3. Enter the date range in which the Major Balance Error occurred in the From Date and To Date fields.

4. All transaction types are included by default. Uncheck the Payment and Lay By Pay checkboxes.

5. Click Okay to view the relevant transactions.

The relevant transactions are displayed in the Balance Enquiry window.

6. Select a transaction and click Enquire to view the details of the transaction.

The Sale Detail Enquiry is displayed.

7. Take note of the Trans. No. (Transaction Number). This will enable you to investigate why this transaction is causing the Major Balance Error.

Note    After identifying the problematic transaction/s, please submit a ticket to request assistance from the Minfos Support Team to investigate the cause of the issue.

8. Click Cancel to close the Sale Detail Enquiry window.

9. Click Cancel to close the Balance Enquiry window.
