Broken pack quantities are the result of dispensing a quantity less than the full pack quantity. There is a Broken Pack configuration in Minfos that allows you to control how broken pack stock on hand is adjusted in your pharmacy.
You can either have Minfos count a broken pack as 1 full pack in stock (plus the sub-units (tablets) remaining), or have Minfos deduct the SOH by 1 when a broken pack quantity is dispensed and sold (the sub-units (tablets) are still recorded).
The default Broken Pack Decreases SOH configuration setting is disabled and a broken pack is counted as a full pack, until the full pack quantity has been dispensed.

Tip: The number of tablets remaining in a broken pack can be viewed in the Product Stock on Hand Edit window.
Prior to changing the Broken Pack Decreases SOH configuration, is is strongly recommended you review and update your current Broken Pack quantities. Failure to review and update your current broken pack quantities may result in incorrect dispensary stock on hand. Refer to Broken Pack Quantities Report for more information.
Enable the Broken Pack Decreases SOH Configuration
To enable the Broken Pack Decreases SOH Configuration
Warning: Enabling the Broken Pack decreases SOH configuration, will trigger Minfos to run a utility that will reduce your SOH by 1.
From the Minfos Launch Pad:
1. Click the the Special menu and click Utilities.
The Utilities module is displayed.
2. Click the Shop Configuration icon.
The Shop Configuration window is displayed.
3. Click the General tab.
4. Check the Broken Pack decreases SOH checkbox.
5. Click OK.
The Broken packs will not be counted in SOH as a full pack prompt is displayed.
6. Click OK to confirm.
A progress bar is displayed while the utility adjusts your SOH.
7. The Shop Configuration window will automatically close after the utility has finished.
Your Stock on Hand has now been adjusted.
