CMI information is provided to Minfos through GuildLink distribution services. Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) leaflets provided by GuildLink can be accessed from within Minfos. The CMI can be accessed both during and after dispensing.

To access CMIs that cannot be found within Minfos, please use the search function on the Therapeutic Goods Administration ARTG webpage.

Note 
From 1 February 2021, Apotex, covering the Apotex, Blooms the Chemist, Chemmart, Terry White Chemists and GenRx brands, will no longer be distributing their CMIs and PIs through GuildLink distribution services. Please access CMIs for these brands through the TGA website.


To access a CMI during dispensing (before finalising the script):

1. With the drug selected in the Dispense Form, click Drug Info or press [F8].The Drug Information Database window is displayed.

2. Select the option to view or print the CMI and click Okay.
If there is no CMI available for the selected drug from within Minfos, a message will display.

If a CMI is available, a prompt will display asking if the customer wishes to have their name and address shown on the top of the CMI.

3. Select Yes to include the customer details, or No to exclude these details.

The CMI Print window will display a preview of the CMI. 
4. Click Print to print the CMI.

5. Alternatively, click the arrow on the Print button to display further options.

a. Print large font will print the CMI with enlarged font ideal for customers with vision impairments.

b. Print with patient details will insert the customer details on the top of the CMI. If you have already selected this in step 3, it is not necessary to select the option here. 

c. Email CMI to patient will send the CMI to the customer email address listed in the customer profile. When attempting to email the CMI to a customer without a valid email address in the customer profile, a failure message will display.

6. To return to the Dispense Form click Close or press [Esc] to exit the Print window and Drug Information Database screens.


To access a CMI from the Script Options menu:

1. From the Script Options menu, select View CMI and click Okay.

The Display CMI's window is displayed.

2. If there is a CMI available from within Minfos you can choose to view or print the CMI.

If there is no CMI found for this product, the View and Print buttons will be unavailable.

3. After selecting to view or print the CMI,  a prompt will display asking if the customer wishes to have their name and address shown on the top of the CMI.

4. Select Yes to include the customer details, or No to exclude these details.

The CMI Print window will display a preview of the CMI. 


5. Click Print to print the CMI.
