The Category Audit Report provides detailed information about changes that have occurred against products on specified date. The Category Audit Report allows you the ability to drill down on one particular product, a range of products or a category of products. Historic changes will be stored for up to 24 months.

1. From the Minfos Launch Pad, click Stock Manager.

2. Click the Reports menu

3. Select 2. Product Reports.

4. Select 6. Category Audit Report.

5. The Category Audit Report window is displayed.

A. Sorted By - Select the category required to be reported on.

B. In the From and To code, left as the default will generate a report for all categories. This can be altered to one category by using the same category code in the From and To fields.

C. In the Starting Date enter the date required to be reported on.

D. In the Ending Date enter the date required to be reported on.

E. Select one or more of the following Report Options: 

Additions, Changes, Edit Quantity, Merges and Discontinued.

Selecting the Edit Quantity checkbox in the Report Options group box will enable the Reason for quantity change group box. These options show the exact nature of the quantity change.

F. Select one or more of the following Reasons for quantity change:

Bonus, Expired, Dead Stock, Lost Stock, Theft, Count Adjustment and Other.

6. Click Okay to run the report.

The Category Audit Report is displayed.

Report Columns

The Product Audit Report will display following columns related to the event.




Date of change.


Time of change.


The Minfos Station Id.


User that made the change, e.g. BR1, Management, Scanner. 


The process /operation that made the change, e.g. MNPN update, Price Manager.


The Minfos National Product Number.

Prod no.

Product Number.


Product Description.


The SOH of the product at the time the report is run

Change Type

The type of change that was made, e.g. Retail Price, PDE, SOH change.

Previous Details

What the value (e.g. Retail Price) was before it changed.

Changed Details

What the value resulting from the change.
