When dispensing scripts to a patient in a nursing home (Residential Aged Care Facility), Minfos will include the RACF ID in the claim to PBS Online.
Note A RACF ID is a Residential Aged Care Facility services identification number. This is a unique four-digit number allocated by the Department of Human Services (DHS), and is used to authenticate the RACF.
The RACF ID of a nursing home can be obtained from the nursing home facility.
To add the RACF ID to an existing nursing home:

From Dispense Pro:
1. Click the Maintenance menu and select 6. Nursing Homes.
The Nursing Home Maintenance window is displayed.
2. Highlight the nursing home and click Change.
The Nursing Home Editing window is displayed.
a. Enter the nursing home’s four-digit RACF ID in to the RACF ID textbox.
b. Check the Compliant Residential Medication Chart check box, to specify that the Nursing Home use NRMCs.
3. Click Okay, to save your changes and close the window.

Note Minfos will enable the functionality to dispense from an NRMC for any patients already linked to, or added to this nursing home.
