1. Open Minfos Packing by clicking the Packing icon on the Minfos Launchpad.

2. A list of all patients with packing profiles will display. Selecting Facilities from the dropdown list will display all facilities. Selecting one of these facilities will display all packing patients associated with it.

3. Create a new profile by clicking the New Profile button [Alt] + [N] to display the Customers window.

4. Enter either a patients surname or surname and first name or the customer number. Press either [Tab] or [Enter].

5. Double click the patient from the list, or click on them to highlight then click the View Profile button or shortcut [Alt] + [V].

The Patient & Pack Details tabbed window will display, showing the selected patient.

The main window is divided into three sections:

a. Patient Details 

Displays the patient address and comment entry field.

b. Allergies List

Displays any patient allergies which have been listed in Customer Maintenance.

c. Pack Details

Refer to the image below for the following features.

a. DAA System

Select Blister from the drop down list.

Select DoseAid from the drop down list.

Select Meditec from the drop down list

b. Foil Type

Choices are Weekly, Monthly or Date Range. Care must be taken if foil types are changed from one cycle to another. For example, Monthly cycles can only have one dose time per day. Changing from a Weekly to a Monthly cycle could result in a whole day of different drug dose times grouped together under one dose time.

This will default to the setup of the Nursing Home as specified by DoseAid.

Choices are Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly or Date Range.

c. Cycle Start Date

The date the patient first starts taking the packed medication. Ensure the day of the week matches the patient’s usual day that they start taking new packs.

d. Last Run

The date the last run was completed and will be automatically updated when the packing run is performed.

e. Created Date

The date the profile was created.

f. Next Run

The date calculated by Minfos based on the last run date plus the packing period for the patient. This date is indicative only and you are free to create a pack run on another date.

g. Use 24 hour dose time

Check this checkbox to enforce 24 hour style dose time entry. Refer to Packing Medication Grids Overview.
