The Sales Comparison Report compares sales data from two specified date ranges and provides a percentage variance between the two selected date ranges. Reporting options available for comparison are: Quantity of products sold, Gross Sales, GST, Discounts, Net Sales, COGS, Gross Profit $ and Gross Profit %. 

This report can be run manually when required or scheduled to run automatically after the End of Day according to a specified schedule.

From the Minfos Launch Pad:

1. Click the Reporting icon.

2. Click the Sales menu and select 4. Sales Comparison.

The Sales Comparison Report window is displayed.

3. From the Format drop down box select the category type to be reported on.

4. Check Report on the entire rangto include all products/categories in the report. Alternatively specify a range of products/categories in the From and To fields.

5. Check the Detailed check box to generate a report listing all products within the specified range. Leave Detailed unchecked if a summary is required.

6. Select the information to include in the report from the Data attributes included in the report panel.

7. Click the Report Period drop-down and select the period you want to report on.

If you selected Last... or Other date range, specify the relevant period in the additional fields provided.

8. Select the period to Compare against.

Note    If the Report Period selected is Other date range and Compare against is set to Previous period, the comparison date range will contain the same number of days as the specified Report Period and end on the day prior to the specified Report Period start date. 
The below information warning is displayed. 

9. Check Period-To-Date to set the report's End Date to the date the report is generated. (E.g. A monthly report generated on the 20th of the month will include data from the 1st to the 20th).

10. Review the Comparison dates preview field to ensure you have selected the intended period.

11. Click Run to generate the report immediately.            

The report is displayed. 

12. Alternatively, to schedule the Sales Comparison Report to run automatically after the End of Day click Schedule. Refer to Schedule a report.
