As a cost-of-living measure, the Australian Government is lowering the PBS Safety Net thresholds from 1 July 2022 by the equivalent of 12 fully priced scripts for concession card holders and the equivalent of approximately two fully priced scripts for non-concessional patients.
From 1 July 2022 the reduced PBS Safety Net thresholds are:

Your Minfos will automatically update to the reduced Safety Net threshold amounts when the Dispense Update is applied on 1 July 2022.
From 1 July 2022, when you select a patient in Dispense that had not reached the Safety Net under the previous thresholds but from 1 July now reaches the Safety Net, Minfos will automatically display the Safety Net Limit prompt for you to issue them the appropriate card.

Check the new Safety Net thresholds
If you would like to check the new Safety Net thresholds have applied after 1 July 2022:
- Navigate to the Dispense Pro module.
- Select the Options icon.
- In the Options window, the new Safety Net Limits will be populated.
