1. To review and action any errors, highlight the promotion and click Error.

2. The Promotion detail error list displays.

  1. Barcode – displays the products main barcode
  2. Product name - displays the product name
  3. Promo code – displays The Promo code
  4. Error type – displays error type
  5. Error description – displays error descriptions
  6. Cost – displays the Product’s Unit Cost
  7. Retail – displays the Product’s Retail price
  8. New Promo – displays the promo price
  9. Existing Promo – if the error is caused by a conflicting promotion, the existing promo price is displayed
  10. Stockcard – allows the Stockcard to be opened and edited
  11. Print – allow the Error list to be printed
  12. Delete the Error, will also delete the product from this promotion
  13. Accept – highlight a product/s and click Accept and the product will be included in the promotion. If the Retail price is less that the Promo price, the product will scan at the cheaper price (if the retail price is $0.00, it will scan at $0.00 at the till).
  14. Accept All – will accept ALL errors
  15. Pg Up – navigates to the next page
  16. Pg Dn – navigates to the previous page
  17. Prev – returns to the previous screen
  18. Click Cancel to close the error list.

3. After you have reviewed and actions all errors you are ready to start the promotion. Refer to Start a % off Retail Price promotion.

Troubleshooting promotional errors

 The table below provides the types of promotional errors that can occur and the actions that can be taken to resolve these errors.

Product RRP is less than promotion price

The product’s recommended retail price is lower than its promotional price.

Either:

  • Review the products’ RRP and ensure it is correct.

Or

  • Accept the error.

The product will scan at the store retail price and not the promotional price. The product will remain RED in Promotional Maintenance.

Promotion price is less than cost price

The product’s promotional price is lower than its cost price.

Either:

  • Delete the product from the promotion. 

Or

  • Review the cost price and accept the error. 

The product will be added to the promotion and consequently, it will be sold at a negative GP%.

Conflicting Promotion

 

The product is in another promotion that has a date range that overlaps with the promotion that you are viewing.

Either:

  • Accept the error.

The product is deleted from the existing promotion and added to this promotion.

Or

  • Delete the error.

The product is deleted from this promotion and stays in the existing promotion.

Product is a drug

The product is a drug. You can add a drug to a promotion, if required.

Either:

  • Accept the error. 

The product will stay in the promotion

Or

  • Delete the error. 

The product is deleted from this promotion.

Product is protected

The product is protected, Schedule 3 or higher or marked as a drug in the database.

You can add a protected product to a promotion, if required.

Either:

  • Accept the error.

The product will stay in the promotion.

Or

  • Delete the error.

The product is deleted from this promotion.

Promotion price is less than $0.00

The product’s promotional price is less than $0.00.

Do not accept the error.

Either the product price is wrong or the promotion file needs to be fixed. 

Set price is less than $0.00

The promotion is a set sales price promotion, and the set sales price is less than $0.00.

Do not accept the error.

Either the product price is wrong or the promotion file needs to be fixed.
