Set email as default method to reissue tokens

By default, an eScript token will be sent to the patient via SMS. If you prefer, you can change the default method of sending to email using the Issue Token Default configuration. When dispensing the default method can be manually changed to meet the specific patient's needs. 

From Dispense Pro:

1. Click the Maintenance menu and select D. Configuration.

The Configuration window is displayed.

2. Navigate to the Dispense/Customer tab and in the Dispense – Screen/Display Options section:

a. Click the Issue Token Default drop-down and select either 1.SMS or 2.Email. There are no charges for Email token reissues.

If you do not want to have the option to issue tokens via SMS you can configure your Minfos to only electronically issue tokens via email. To do this: 

b. Check the Issue token to email only checkbox. The Issue Token Default will adjust to Email and be greyed out.

3. Click OK to save.

Manage how tokens are issued on a per dispensing basis

You can manage how a patient receives the repeats for their eScripts from the Save and Process dialog at the end of dispensing. This allows you to override the default settings managed in Dispense Configuration on a per dispensing basis.
